Toxicity Evaluation:

To assess the potential toxicity of NEPHRICARE on normal cells, canine keratinocyte (CPEK) cells were treated with varying concentrations of NEPHRICARE for a duration of up to 48 hours.

• At a concentration of 100 μg/ml for up to 48 hours, no significant toxicity was observed.
  
  

In-Vivo Studies:

• A. Ammonia Levels: After three months of NEPHRICARE treatment, ammonia levels returned to within the normal reference range.
  
  
• B. Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN): BUN levels showed a slight decrease after three months of NEPHRICARE treatment.
  
  
• C. Creatinine: After three months of treatment, a general trend toward decreased creatinine levels was observed in all cases. Specifically, Cases 2, 3, and 4 showed reductions within the normal reference range.
  
  
• D. Urine Protein: Creatinine Ratio (UPC): The UPC, an indicator of the severity of proteinuria, exhibited a moderate decrease in all cases.
